#okay but can we talk about the brilliance of this #how nine is fresh from the time war #he can hold a gun to a dalek and sail through time and space #he’ll sacrifice himself to protect the many like a good king should #and he respects the normal life he can’t have (see: the married couple in the church in Father’s Day) #Ten’s hubris was his problem from the very beginning #and he lost so much and felt so much pain that he lashed out #and in doing so realized his power #he was the last of the time lord-a GOD in power #the laws of time are mine and they will obey me! #But the universe made sure to slap him right back into his place #and remind him that he’s more of a liability than an asset to the world #and eleven? he’s given up #defeated #with a scary cold wrath hiding beneath the childlike exterior #he doesn’t believe in a higher cause #something worth fighting for #or the deity of himself #what’s a god to a nonbeliever? (via kerrionmywaywardsons)
